Disposable media

This project was interesting to work on and reminded me a lot of our first plushie projects. They didn't require much preparation or really any other equipment other than the camera — which, in this case was a phone. Due to these factors, it was a really quick process. I filmed the whole thing in 20 minutes at nearly 2 A.M. Obviously, there was still editing to do, but getting the filming done was much easier than if I'd had to set up lights or a full camera. I was actually kind of excited to film this with my phone, because I recently got the iPhone 8 and wanted to test out the camera for video. However, I realized while editing that I'd shot the video at a lower quality than I hoped for, so that's one of my only regrets for the film. It also might've actually helped to use lights for this. I think part of the reason it was grainier than I'd expected was because the lighting we used (the overhead light in our living room) was not ideal for this type of filming. I also could've used a tripod for the phone, it would've helped stabilize some shots, although I don't think that was a huge problem for this video. After taking this video, I truly think I have a greater appreciation for the resources, materials, and  equipment that we have been given to work with. Films look much more put-together and professional when we use all the equipment and resources we are lucky enough to have.
